Charities

Parrucche work hand in hand with many charities to provide a holistic approach to wig wearer, by fully understanding the mental aspects as well as the physical aspects of wearing a wig. Below are a few of the charities we support.

The Little Princess Trust

We are an affiliate of the The Little Princess Trust who provide free, real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. As an LPT approved salon, Parrucche helps the LPT supply, style and cut wigs for these brave young people. Please do get in touch if you would like to know more on this service.

Established in 2006, the little Princess trust has supplied over 8000 wigs to children and young people and have invested around £5 million into ground-breaking childhood cancer research.

Alopecia UK

We are an affiliate, and work closely with Alopecia UK to provide and offer hair solutions that suit your needs. We are a member of the Alopecia UK Service Directory and offer discounts to Alopecia UK VIP Card Holders. We have also hosted many Alopecia Glasgow Support Group meetings and raised money for the charity through sales of our Preloved Wig Bank Donations. We continue to provide wigs for Alopecia Diagnosed Conditions through NHS prescriptions as well as purchases made out with prescription.

Alopecia UK has an overall aim; to provide hope and confidence to people with alopecia by funding research into its causes, with the aim of finding treatments, and ultimately, a cure.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Parrucche understands how difficult it is for young people suffering hair loss due to chemotherapy and treatments for their cancer. It is our aim to make every teenager feel comfortable and offer a hair solution that is trendy and natural looking to help them feel as confident as possible.

As we are an NHS Scotland wig and hair piece provider, our team will also be able to help you with NHS prescriptions and ensure you leave the salon feeling like you again.

LGBTQ

Parrucche have had many customers from the LGBTQ community over the past few years and with increasing word of mouth, many of which come back time and time again and bring their friends.

Parrucche is a unique luxurious wig salon that understands the needs of our LGBTQ community and that purchasing a wig can be one of the most important decisions in completing the identity you are comfortable with.

We have worked with many LGBTQ charities and hospitals to support and raise understanding & funds in educating wider communities on the importance of acceptance, understanding and an equal society.
