Parrucche Ltd – Modern Slavery Statement 2025
Effective Date: 01 April 2025 | Approved by: Director, Parrucche Ltd
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps Parrucche Ltd has taken during the financial year ending March 2025 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
1. Organisation Structure and Supply Chains
Parrucche Ltd is a Glasgow-based wig salon committed to sustainable, inclusive, and eco-conscious services. Our supply chain includes UK-based and international manufacturers of synthetic and human hair wigs, accessories, and packaging materials.
We work with suppliers who share our ethical values and have mapped our supply chain to identify potential risks, particularly in regions where human hair is sourced.
2. Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking
We operate under a strict Ethical Sourcing Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibit forced labour, child labour, and exploitative practices. These policies are communicated to all suppliers and reviewed annually.
3. Due Diligence Processes
We conduct due diligence on all new suppliers, including:
- Reviewing Modern Slavery Assessment Tool (MSAT) submissions
- Requesting third-party audits of labour standards
- Ensuring traceability of human hair donations and compensation practices
We require suppliers to confirm compliance with the Modern Slavery Act and provide supporting documentation.
4. Risk Assessment and Management
We assess risk based on geography, product type, and supplier history. Human hair sourcing is flagged as a high-risk area, and we mitigate this by:
- Prioritising partnerships with suppliers who use voluntary donation schemes
- Avoiding sourcing from regions with known trafficking concerns
- Supporting transparency through supply chain mapping
5. Key Performance Indicators
To measure effectiveness, we track:
- % of suppliers with completed MSATs
- Number of audits conducted annually
- Supplier compliance rates with our Code of Conduct
We aim for 100% MSAT completion and zero tolerance for non-compliance.
6. Training
All Parrucche staff involved in procurement and supplier engagement receive annual training on modern slavery awareness, ethical sourcing, and whistleblowing procedures.
This statement was approved by the Director of Parrucche Ltd on 01 April 2025 and is published on our website. We remain committed to continuous improvement and transparency in our efforts to combat modern slavery.
Signed,
Melanie Burrell
